The Cure retornan con un nuevo álbum de estudio después de 4 años y de haber anunciado su separación. El álbum se titula "The Cure" y el primer single "The end of the world".
Robert Smith: "Creo que es lo mejor que hemos hecho jamás. Si no te gusta entonces no te gustamos". Así de rotundo se ha mostrado el genio y maestro Robert Smith respecto a su nuevo trabajo.
Por primera vez, The Cure han trabajado con un productor, Ross Robinson (Korn, Vex Red, At The Drive-In o Slipknot). Impactado por The Cure desde la adolescencia, Robinson había dicho públicamente que trabajar con la banda sería su mayor sueño, y su determinación para hacer de éste su mejor trabajo les ha puesto el listón muy alto a todos, por eso es por lo que los miembros de la banda se sienten satisfechos al titular este nuevo trabajo, simplemente - The Cure.
